That sunny Sunday in September was a beautiful day for an Art Fair. Here are 7 reasons why.
1. Great chats
I had some really nice conversations with people. Just chatting about art. People asked a variety of questions. It's always nice to meet face-to-face and get feedback on all things creative.
2. Live music
A great atmosphere including live music on the podium which had many people laughing, eating, drinking and dancing on the square.
3. Fun for kids
Our twins took a cool graffiti art workshop. They proudly carried their own Banksy style art back home and it looks fab in their rooms.
4. Much interest
With so much interest in my work, I sold paintings from various collections.
5. New space for my art
When you're in direct contact with your clients, you come across many stories, find out why someone buys a piece and where it will find a home. One man told me the painting was a gift to his twin brother. Another painting now hangs on the wall of a major lawyers office at the Zuidas in Amsterdam. And a third painting was a colourful addition to a client's private art collection.
6. Interest in workshops
Many people asked if I organise workshops so they could subscribe - I don't at the moment, but there are plans for creative workshops in the future now I have the space. I'll let you know.
7. Great organisation
All very well organised by Bussum Cultureel and Artes Bussum. It had a fantastic mix of artists and therefore a great variety of different styles and concepts.
If you missed out, make sure to visit the Art Fair next year. I'll keep you posted via my blog!
